The Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor position in Chemical Engineering program to begin Fall 2024. Prospective candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, specializing in process and plant design, optimization, integration, process safety, and environmental impact. Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service.
The successful candidate is expected to be engage in active research within his/her areas of expertise, integrate impactful educational methods, mentor undergraduate students, and contribute to the growth of the department, university, and local community. The candidate should have the credentials to teach undergraduate courses in the field of Chemical Engineering including Process and Plant Design, Process Integration and Optimization, Advance Simulation, Data Science in Chemical Engineering and Safety and Environment Impact. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of teaching introductory level courses and supervise senior design projects. Moreover, preference will be given to candidates possessing teaching experience and qualifications in petroleum engineering courses.
