American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK), Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, invites applications for an adjunct faculty position beginning Fall 2024 (August). Candidates for this position must hold a Ph.D in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering). The successful candidate is expected to teach the following main courses:
Geotechnical Engineering Foundation Engineering
Adjunct Faculty Position in Geotechnical Engineering American University of Ras Al Khaimah
In addition, the faculty member is expected to teach Statics and Surveying (second year courses) and therefore, the ability to teach these courses is also required.
Required Qualifications:
• Ph. D in the area of Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering) from an accredited institution of higher education • Strong record of active engagement in research and scholarship, including recent publications • University teaching experience • Excellent English oral and written communication skills • Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices • Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines • Familiarity with ABET accreditation requirements
